Grumèl Farm is dedicated to the production of extra virgin olive oil, combining traditional methods with modern techniques to respect the olive tree’s natural cycle and ensure a high-quality product.
Our story begins with our daily connection to the land, the care we devote to our olive trees and our knowledge of a territory where olive cultivation has been part of the agricultural landscape for generations.
Casaliva,
a local variety.
The olive groves of Grumèl Farm are characterised primarily by the presence of the Casaliva cultivar,, locally known in dialect as “Drezzer”.
It is a variety that has historically grown in this area and is particularly well suited to the climatic and environmental conditions of the region where it is cultivated.
Knowledge of the variety, together with the care of the trees and the characteristics of the soil, contributes to defining the distinctive qualities of the oil we produce.
Cultivating where
the land is more challenging.
Our traditional olive groves still cover much of the farm’s land today. They are mainly located on steep slopes and terraces, making cultivation particularly demanding.
Many operations are still carried out by hand, using farming techniques that take into account the characteristics of each individual tree and the shape of the land.
The olive tree is also an important element of the landscape and contributes to the environmental balance of the area.
The land makes
a difference too.
The quality of extra virgin olive oil is the result of many factors that follow and interact throughout the entire production cycle, from the tree to extraction.
The soil is one of them. Well-drained soils, characterised by a balance of clay and mineral components, help create favourable conditions for olive trees to thrive and influence the characteristics of the final product.
Trees with
the future in mind.
Olive trees can live for generations. For this reason, our cultivation does not follow a super-intensive model focused solely on maximising production.
Our olive groves are integrated into the landscape according to the characteristics of traditional olive-growing areas, with planting layouts designed to support the trees as they grow over time.
We combine traditional cultivation techniques that respect the natural cycle of the olive trees with modern harvesting and oil extraction methods.
From the land
to hospitality.
In the summer of 2018, Grumèl Farm expanded its activities with the opening of Agricamping Grumèl.
Located just outside the town of Nago and directly accessible from the SS240, the road connecting Riva del Garda and Rovereto.
A project born from our desire to share the way we experience this place, in close contact with nature and with the work of the farm.

In 2022, the farm further expanded its activities by starting to grow blackberries.
A new project that has become part of the Grumèl story and reflects our desire to make the most of the land through different crops, while always maintaining a careful and respectful approach.
